artemisia shine Bio

artemisia shine is a Somatic Therapist, Liberation Warrior and Chingona who helps people and communities get free. As a queer, neuro-diverse, multi-racial healer, mother, and curandera, artemisia has spent her life confronting systems of oppression related to gender, race, ecology, mental health, and ability. With over 1,000 hours of Somatic Therapy training and multiple Yoga Alliance certifications, she has led groups of educators, counselors, and yoga therapists. artemisia's experience includes crisis counseling for sexual assault survivors, organizing for intimate partner violence prevention, mentoring individuals in the criminal justice system, and directing youth outdoor education programs. She has been in private practice for 12+ years as a trauma-focused healer, energy worker, mindfulness practitioner and counselor. artemisia's diverse background in community organizing, gender justice advocacy, and social justice education provides her with an intersectional understanding of trauma, self-care, community care and oppression.
